Also known as the ‘eastern courtyard’ or ‘Patio de las Mujeres, the courtyard of the Women was a prison. This part of the fortress was used by Alcazar for the female prisoners. The remains of the Roman castellum and the Andalusian Alcázar were found here.

Reception Hall

Reception Hall is also known as ‘Ocean Hall’ or ‘Sala de recepciones’. The Ocean Hall is situated beside the Hall of Mosaics and is dedicated to the God Oceanus. This hall of Alcazar of Córdoba houses some main seats ( seats of honor) of the kings from the 17th century.

Royal Baths of Doña Leonor

Also known as ‘Baños reales de Doña Leonor’, the royal baths were made by King Alfonso the 11th in the year 1328. The royal baths are made in the shape of stars named the changing room, the cold room, the temperate room, and the hot room.

Four Towers

The Alcazar Córdoba houses 4 main towers outside the walls named as Tower of Homage, the Tower of the Lions, the Tower of the inquisition, and Tower of the Dove. The Tower of Lions dates back to the 13th century and served as a chapel to the Catholic Monarchs.
